The Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing projects by providing and maintaining methods, equipment, tooling, and standards to internal and external specifications. This position supports manufacturing projects by providing technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility, and will be responsible to setup, operate and trial new methods of manufacturing to reduce cycle times, improve lead times, and solve implementation problems.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with Microsoft Office products

- CAD/CAM experience
- Solid working knowledge of product line and manufacturing processes

Responsibilities Include:
- Providing support to obtain safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operations.
- Developing and maintaining routings, tool lists, fixtures, process instructions, and process requirements, for manufacturing equipment and operations.
- Developing work instructions and standard work to document processes and flow.
- Driving out waste from manufacturing operations through the deployment of lean and CBS methodology.
- Addressing production andon stoppages and develops counter measures using 5 why methodology.
- Training operators on proper, efficient manufacturing methods and procedures, to maximize machine and process productivity.
- Coordinating the purchase of necessary production materials and tooling.
- Implementing changes to tools and fixtures.
- Supporting new process and product development implementation.
- Assisting with developing and implementing current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans.
- Auditing and improving existing manufacturing processes.
- Solving daily manufacturing process problems.
- Trying out experimental commercial tooling.
- Simplifying the methods/tooling and therefore reduces cycle times and W.I.P.
- Improving area equipment layouts and material flow.
- Assisting operators with daily assembly problems with equipment, methods, and tooling.
- Assisting in justifying and coordinating the installation of capital equipment.
- Participating actively in the Continuous Improvement and Quality processes including project team involvement, problem solving, and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities.

The TIG Welder is accountable for all dimensions they create on any product. They ensure that all welds meet appropriate specifications, are cosmetically acceptable, and meet good craftsmanship standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience with thin gauge stainless steel and aluminum
- Demonstrated ability to accurately manufacture from blueprints (welds must meet dimensional specifications and be cosmetically acceptable)
- The ability to follow welding requirements on certified welding jobs and follow procedures
Responsibilities Include:
- Wrapping insulation on localized area of product
- Sharpening of own tungsten
- Following Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) on all certified welding jobs
- Following welding requirements as specified in the Manufacturing Manual
- Contacting supervision or Weld Coordinator when rework is required so the applicable rework documents can be completed
- Following all applicable safety rules and regulations
- Recommending and helping to implement method improvements and cost reductions.

The Fabrication Team Lead plans, directs, and coordinates the work within the Fabrication Department, leading its personnel, and is responsible for the quality of all items produced in the cell. The Team Lead coordinates the allocation of personnel and equipment with the cell to fulfill quality requirements and meet delivery deadlines. While filling these responsibilities the Team Lead must work another job responsibility within the cell.
Qualifications:
- Experience with use of saws, grinders, metal shears, lathes, and mills
- Demonstrated ability to read drawings and specifications, and use inspection tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and coordinate workflow (preferred).
Responsibilities include:
- Helping train, cross-train and develop cell personnel
- Assigning tasks to cell employees
- Recognizing and recommending rewards for high performing employees
- Recognizing and correcting or reporting poor performing employees
- Managing compliance with safe manufacturing practices

The Shipping/ Packaging Specialist is Technifab’s last line of defense before items are shipped to the customer. Qualified applicants must be very meticulous and detail oriented to ensure the customer is getting a product that meets or exceeds their expectations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand drawings, bill of materials, cutlists, inspection procedures, manufacturing manual procedures, etc.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Experience using saws and other power tools a plus
- Carpentry skills a plus
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing visual and dimensional inspections
- Applying the correct decals as required per drawing and inspection procedure
- Etching or engraving identification of items as required
- The use of inspection tools: (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Verifying process travelers and job packets, all items completed and signed off
- Ensuring product is packaged appropriately for protection
- Following Technifab safety guidelines
- Taking pictures of finished products in their shipping containers

The Field Service Technician installs vacuum jacketed pipe systems and other products at customer locations.
Qualified applicants must be able to pass a DOT physical and be willing to travel on short notice. Applicants must also be able to lift 50-70 lbs. on a regular basis, and work in elevated locations.
