The CAD Technician assists and supports the engineering function by performing duties related to supporting manufacturing and drafting custom cryogenic piping.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar professional position, or applicable technical degree
  • Quality orientation and a high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with welding, brazing, and basic fabrication processes preferred

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing bill of materials, cut list, and 2D drawing for custom and standard cryogenic products
  • Appling standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out a sequence of related tasks
  • Ensuring customer needs are met
  • Making changes to existing orders as requested by Sales or the customer
  • Correcting any issues found within manufacturing

The CNC Zone Leader leads, plans, directs, and coordinates the work and personnel within a production cell and is responsible for the quality of all items produced in the cell as well as the overall performance of the cell including its supports.

This entry level position will receive training to build leadership abilities in accordance with Technifab Products Inc. Mission, Vision and Core Values.  Zone Leaders must be engaged employees with excellent attendance, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow in talent and responsibilities.

This is a ‘Working’ Zone Leader position, in peak times or times of staffing constraints, the Zone Leader will be required to operate equipment in addition to his or her other duties and responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of machining principles and processes (preferred)
  • Strong CNC machine operation and setup skills (preferred)
  • Strong metrology skills (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of G & M codes (preferred)
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities are a must

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping train, cross train, and develop cell personnel
  • Providing input and assisting General Manager with employee reviews

  • Confirming part print compliance is being maintained after tooling offset(s) are performed
  • Managing quality inspections as set forth by the in process and final inspections requirements
  • Coordinating with other leads on same or different shifts to minimize machine down time and maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Maximizing machine(s) run time during shift
  • Ensuring compliance by all in cell including, but not limited to, the usage of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Reporting all accidents immediately to General Manager, by submitting appropriate documentation
  • Maintaining housekeeping and organization of work areas
  • Reporting any damaged or defective tooling/equipment to General Manager
  • Follow and maintain the schedule as established by General Manager
  • Assigning all Internal Orders in sequence as shown on dashboard
  • Recommending overtime as needed

  • Soliciting and helping implement cost reductions
  • Recommending improved machine or tooling methods
  • Provide input for Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

The TIG Welder is accountable for all dimensions they create on any product. They ensure that all welds meet appropriate specifications, are cosmetically acceptable, and meet good craftsmanship standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with thin gauge stainless steel and aluminum
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately manufacture from blueprints (welds must meet dimensional specifications and be cosmetically acceptable)
  • The ability to follow welding requirements on certified welding jobs and follow procedures

Responsibilities Include:

  • Wrapping insulation on localized area of product
  • Sharpening of own tungsten
  • Following Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) on all certified welding jobs
  • Following welding requirements as specified in the Manufacturing Manual
  • Contacting supervision or Weld Coordinator when rework is required so the applicable rework documents can be completed
  • Following all applicable safety rules and regulations
  • Recommending and helping to implement method improvements and cost reductions.
  • All other duties as directed by supervisor

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines

The Metal Fabricator is responsible for all dimensions they create on any product. Fabricators verify that the dimensions created meet the print/cut list requirements before product moves to the next area.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with use of saws, grinders, metal shears, lathes, and mills
  • Demonstrated ability to read drawings and specifications, and use inspection tools

Responsibilities Include:

  • The use of cold saws and band saws
  • The use of metal cutting shears and rolls
  • The use of manual lathes and mills
  • The use of inspection tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • The use of sand blasters, tubing benders, pipe and flex cutters, various other cutting tools, air grinders, etc.
  • Cleaning of stainless steel and aluminum products
  • Buffing, polishing, scotch brite, of finished products and details
  • Deburring
  • Spinning
  • Operation of punch presses
  • Following proper safety procedures
  • Following manufacturing procedures

The Vacuum Jacketed Pipe Installer installs vacuum jacketed pipe systems and other products at customer locations.

Qualified applicants must be able to pass a DOT physical and be willing to travel on short notice.  Applicants must also be able to lift 50-70 lbs. on a regular basis, and work in elevated locations.

The Buffer is responsible for polishing stainless steel equipment with the buffing machine.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow specifications and drawing requirements

The Cryogenic Engineer independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making design adaptations and modifications.

Qualifications:

  • BSME, BSMET, or other applicable technical degree (experience in a similar professional position will be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • Experience with ASME Section VIII Div 1 and/or ASME B31.3 and in cryogenic manufacturing and/or design preferred
  • Thorough knowledge in computer operations including 3D modeling, drafting techniques and terminology required
  • CAD skills consisting of AutoCAD and solid modeling
  • Must be familiar with applicable materials and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
